After my daughter's murder in Tulsa 2004, I became an advocate for families of missing and murdered children and adults. I now work with the TPD chaplain as an assistant for families of homicide. I am currently writing a book about healing after homicide.

Hi Catherine, I have requested you as a friend on this site. First, I want to let you know am so sorry to hear about your daughter. Can't imagine the nightmare you have been through. I read your article in yesterday's NormanTranscript. I am contacting you to see if there is anything I can do to help in your cause to enlighten people regarding services. I am just a stay at home mom. I was involved in a domestic abuse case last year and did not hear about any services offered until a year later. My counseling and hospital was finally paid by the victim's compensation fund. It would have been great to know of this when I was being hounded to pay the hospital bill and to get the counseling I needed. Again, I would like to help other people. Being a stay at home mom I don't know what I can do. Can you direct me in the proper direction. Again I am so sorry to hear of your loss. You are a heck of a woman to turn this around and help others.
