I am Graduated! Time for a bit of relaxing now, taking care of some things that were put aside at home and ready myself for my 1st call!

No
What Agency/Agencies Do You Serve ?
Jersey Village Fire Department, Texas
More About Me.
I joined the department a week before Hurricane Ike and put both feet in. I've been an EMT for about a year now and will graduate Fire Academy December 5th. I have a 14 year old son, Aaron and a 10 year old daughter, Camryn. I am so VERY happily married to my wife, Shadow. I am a partner in a Fiber Optic company that services everything from telecom to traffic control. I Love to help others and the Fire Department feeds the need and give me a Great sense of Brotherhood.

Congratulations on on passing your Academy finals ! I've been running around trying to get my car fixed. ( never one of my favorite things)

Its great that you will be doing the invocation Saturday.

Tips

TRY TO BE TOPICAL I was doing a city council invocation one time and prayed for healing for a council member who was absent due to surgery. Another time I asked for healing for an area department whose chief had just died suddenly etc.

BE FIRE SPECIFIC I like to lead our group in being grateful to God for allowing us to serve our community in the special way we have been called to. I also pray often that he will serve beside us, and always have our back etc.

Of course being Christian you will want to clearly address him in your prayer, but try to be generic Christian and not too tied to a specific denomination.

Pray as the spirit leads you, and I'm sure you will do fine !

Nice to have a Jersey Village Firefighter among us ! Be sure to mention us to your department mates up there. The more the merrier is the rule around here. You can even start a group here just for Jersey Village Firefighters. Feel free to add any other content you or your department may have to share. We have plenty of room for your photos, videos, blog posts etc.

Yours in Christ,
Chaplain Crutchfield
